Making Challenges: Post a new challenge message on 714th Ladder Messages Bulletin Board with title FA(C) and both opponents names.  The challenger must also email and ICQ all challenges and correspondence to the opponent.  Only one challenge at a time, no exceptions. Winners of a match may challenge again immediately after posting of results; losers of a match must wait until 21:00 EST the day following the posting of results to make a new challenge.  A rematch challenge of a match is not allowed until either both pilots have already flown another challenge or at least 3 days have passed since the results posting.  Please email the Ladder Administrators if you have any confusion or disagreements. 

Position 1-5 may challenge up to 3 positions above, positions 6-10 may challenge up to 4 positions above, positions 11-20 may challenge 5 positions above, 21-30 may challenge 6 positions above, 31-40 may challenge 7 positions above, 41-50 may challenge 8 positions above and so on. You may skip past **Inactives** and **Standbys** in all calculations. 

Newbie players start tied for last +1 in position "*" and may make their own first challenge or else they will be assigned a challenge to another "*" or someone in a numbered position available and within range of the "*" position. Any match result, win or loss, will place the newbie player in a numbered position on the ladder.  Inability to meet the activity requirements or 2 weeks in newbie status without successfully flying a challenge match will retire the newbie player from the ladder.

Accepting Challenges: The challenged pilot must email and ICQ their acceptance to their opponent and also should post their acceptance on the Ladder Bulletin Board as a response to the challenger FAC post. Remember to email and ICQ all acceptances and correspondence to your opponent.  There are a maximum of 7 days (please respond as soon as possible) from the challenge posting to complete the match. You may request to void or extend a match with an email from you and your opponent to the ladder admin after 3 days and before the 7 day period expires.  Matches without an extension and not flown in this challenge match 7-day period are subject to being declared VOID. Nonresponsive, inactive, and negative behaviors will be penalized.   Please fly your matches in a timely manner, and note the overdue challenge void policy.

Reporting Results: After the match is complete, the results should be immediately posted to the Ladder Bulletin Board by either pilot (typically the winning pilot) as a new posting with title FA(R) and both pilot names; please remember to include which planes the opponents flew. Any disagreements should be immediately resolved between the pilots or else immediately reported to the ladder admin. by email.  As a courtesy to the other pilots on the ladder, please report extended periods of inactivity to the ladder admins too.  If results are not posted in the 7-day challenge match period and no extension has been granted, then the challenge will be silently and automatically declared VOID with possible penalties as well.  It is your responsibility to request an extension if your match will not be flown and results posted in the 7-day challenge match period.

1 v 1 Arab/Israel Campaign ROE:

The standard campaign ROE description is available under the ROE link plus the campaign backround link which adds more background info.  This ladder page overrides the ROE and Campaign pages. Also look on the bulletin board for any recent ROE enhancements and announcements.  As always, any ROE amendments are okay as long as both opponents discuss and agree to them before the match.

Arab/Israel custom mission ROE for all challenges active 10/12 0000 PST:

Israel: A4I, F4E (Desert) and Mirage III (Desert)
Arab: MiG17, MiG19, MiG21C, F104G

The Aggressor (challenger) and Defender (challengee) each choose one plane from the campaign aircraft inventory list (see the standings page for your available plane inventory) and fly it for the entire match.  You should fly using the latest Arab/Israel Missions (October 8). Please inform the admins of any mission problems, comments, or suggestions.

Please fly using the latest provided custom missions instead of using Quick Mission.  Best 3 of 5 kills.

Overdue Challenge VOID policy:

All ladder participants will have up to *7 DAYS* to complete a ladder match from the date of the posting of the challenge.  All matches which have not requested an extension and which have posted no results after 7 days are subject to being silently and automatically VOID at the next ladder standings update on the eighth day.  It is the ladder participant's obligation to request an extension before the 7 days expire or be subject to having their challenge match canceled.

If you have an unexpected problem completing a match on time (such as family emergency, work schedule change, other urgent situations) and you are responsive to email and ICQ messages and notify opponents and ladder admins of any unexpected problems, match extensions will be automatically provided and your schedule will be accommodated as much as possible.

PENALTIES:
Upon discovery of an unexpected problem that will prolong the match beyond the schedule, please immediately email your opponent plus the Ladder Admins. Unresponsiveness to your opponent will result in a VOID match result plus a penalty. The penalty will result at least in dropping position to below the challenger (w/o the win or loss recorded) and being put in **Inactive** status subject to being dropped entirely from the ladder.
